Walnut Valley Sailing Club

WVSC traces its roots back to 1937 when it was called the Wichita Sailing Club and located at Santa Fe Lake. Many of our long-time members recall Santa Fe sailing, before the move to El Dorado Lake in 1985. Our on-the-water Activity Center has all the necessary amenities for great sailing and social experiences. The activity center is available to members from spring through fall and includes a full kitchen, restrooms, and showers. Our 85 slips are 10, 12, or 14 ft. wide.

We are a vibrant, fun club with varied sailing activities, socials, and races scheduled throughout the sailing season. The racing program is active, well-organized, and always looking for more racers. New racers and crew are always welcome. Racing is an excellent way to learn about sailing. Other themed sailing activities are meant to encourage relaxed and fun sailing for the entire family.

WVSC learn-to-sail program for youth and adults is hands down, the best sail training in the region. Our goal is to train the sailors of tomorrow to keep our sailing community strong. Generally, two 2-week daytime youth sessions are offered each year and more condensed sessions are offered for adults in the evening or weekends.

We hope your tour of our website will encourage you to visit us at El Dorado Lake!

ALL THE FUN IS ON THE WATER!
